On The Main Stage |
Not just a Rockabilly revival…It’s a Rock n’ Roll Evolution! Musically and conceptually The Neverly Brothers bridge the gap between 50s rockabilly and early 60s British invasion as they take you on a retro-sonic express train ride from Bowling Green, Kentucky to Liverpool, England…and back!. The Neverly Brothers are not an “oldies cover band,” nor are they a tribute act. They are a very unique and exciting retro-sonic concept…AND ABOVE ALL THEY ARE TRUE ENTERTAINERS! Their enthusiastic stage show will transport you back in time on a virtual tour of one of the most exciting unexplored phases in pop music history: the transition of rock n’ roll from its American Rockabilly roots to the British Invasion. Their song sequence & selection, accompanied by narrative historical footnotes, will illustrate how the music and energy of the 1950s American Rockabilly & Rock n’ Roll pioneers set the stage for the adventurous young bands of the British Invasion movement. Their repertoire consists of show-stopping renditions of early hits by The Everly Brothers, Buddy Holly, Carl Perkins, The Beatles, The Kinks, The Rolling Stones and many other artists who shaped rock n' roll during the years 1955 through 1965. |
